Allyson Noman is a first-generation Pakistani-Korean writer, visual artist and intuitive reader. She received her BA in Creative Writing and Book Arts from UC Santa Barbara’s College of Creative Studies before moving to New York City, where a decade in hospitality led her to Miami Beach as a managing partner of Employees Only. Channeling that definitive time, she completed her debut novel, FLY BY NIGHTS (presently querying for representation). The novel is a coming-of-age story set in the booming late aughts restaurant scene of New York City. It’s about love, addiction, loss, and ambition.
Currently based in northern California, she works for renowned importer, Kermit Lynch Wine Merchant, marketing and writing about wine. In 2024, she was selected for a BIPOC fellowship to Sonoma County Writers Camp, and as a fellow of the Wine Writers Symposium. Her writing has received support from the Napa Valley Writers Conference, Electric Literature partner Writing Workshops' Paris retreat and has appeared in The Hellebore Press and on JancisRobinson.com. Her work has also been featured at the Center for Book Arts, New York and on The Well-Balanced Fish podcast.
